Dear Students,
Punjab Government, with a view to provide delivery of
services to the people of the state within time limits,
notified Punjab Right to Service Ordinance on 14/7/2011.
The Ordinance came into force w.e.f. 28th July, 2011
when 67 services were notified under its provisions.
Soon after, Punjab Right to Service Act-2011 (PRTS
Act-2011) was passed by the State Assembly and thus,
came into effect on 20th October, 2011. For details

There is a long list of services related with various
Govt Departments. Services related with Higher Education
are notified at serial no 98, 99 and 100. Director
Punjab Education Colleges wide Memo No 11/40-2013 (A)(1)
dates 24/3/2013 issued one letter to Registrar of
different Universities that Governance Reforms
Department Punjab wide notification no 1/22/2011-2GR
2/91591/4 dated 4/9/10 has prescribed the time limit of
different services provided by the Universities under
serial no 98, 99, 100. Serial No Name of Service Give
time limit (working days) 98 Issuance of Duplicate
Certificate 30 99 Issuance of Original Migration
Certificate/Detailed Marks Card/Verification of
Documents 15 100 Degrees of Successful Candidates every
year By 31st October Under the Act, following
authorities have been declared: Registrar, Designated
Officer, Vice Chancellor First Appellate Authority and
Principal Secretary is Second Appellate Authority.
